Persons of Influence CBO, with generous support from Conservation International, recently hosted a vibrant community event to support Samburu women leading a grassroots tree nursery initiative. As part of this effort, essential tools and equipment were handed over, including 3,000-litre water tanks, rakes, jembes, watering cans, hosepipes, pruning knives, and pangas—all critical for scaling their work in land restoration and reforestation.
The event was honored by the presence of the Acting Deputy County Commissioner and the County Forest Conservator, both of whom spoke passionately about the importance of empowering women at the heart of conservation efforts.
We invite you to be part of this impactful journey by purchasing trees from these dedicated women—a simple action that supports livelihoods while contributing to long-term environmental sustainability.
How We Solve This Project
To ensure the success of the tree nursery initiative, we collaborate with environmental experts, forestry officers, and partner organizations who advise on the most suitable materials, tools, and techniques for sustainable land restoration.
Join the community to give education for the childrens and together make them educated for their lives.
Our missions
Our mission is to empower local women through sustainable tree growing, equipping them with the skills, tools, and support needed to restore degraded land, improve livelihoods, and build climate-resilient communities.
