As part of our ongoing community engagement efforts, Persons of Influence (PoI), in partnership with the Gender Violence Recovery Centre (GVRC), recently facilitated a powerful community talk on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Samburu.

The session brought together both youth and elders, creating a safe and inclusive space for open conversation, education, and healing. Participants shared experiences, asked questions, and explored ways to challenge harmful norms while building a culture of respect and accountability.

This activity is part of our broader mission to raise awareness, break the silence around GBV, and empower communities—especially vulnerable groups—to take meaningful action across generations.

How We Solve This Project

To ensure accurate and impactful information during the GBV talks, we work closely with trained counselors, local leaders, and gender rights experts who help guide discussions, provide support, and share best practices for prevention and response.

Let Us Create Safe Spaces

Our missions

Our mission is to create safe spaces for open dialogue on gender-based violence, raise awareness across all age groups, and empower communities with the knowledge and tools to prevent, respond to, and break the cycle of GBV
